God told him to flee to the coast where ship is waiting for him to take a home. After this Patrick became a Priest. Patrick returned Ireland to transform Pagan Irish to Christianity. St. Patrick’s Day traditions hold that he died on 17th March that’s why Irish People celebrate this Day.
